
The First Managers' Conference 2010 of BASIC Bank Ltd was held in the city recently.
Sheikh Abdul Hye Bacchu, chairman of the bank, attended the conference as the chief guest.
AKR Sajedur Rahman, managing director, presided over the event, said a press release.
Jahangir Akhand Salim, Dr Kazi Akhtar Hossain, Shakhawat Hossain, and Md Anwarul Islam, directors, Sk Monzur Morshed, deputy managing director, general managers, divisional heads, branch-incharges and executives from the bank's head office were present in the conference.
The executives and branch incharges reviewed the bank's performance in 2009.
New action plan was adopted in the meeting for strengthening the bank's operational activities in line with the socio-economic and global changes.
Mr Bacchu, in his speech, called for united efforts to accelerate business growth of the bank.
He put emphasis on expansion of foreign remittance business through better customer and modern banking services.
The chairman also laid emphasis on launching new products of the bank.
Mr Rahman, the managing director, thanked all the officials for their contribution to the improvement of the bank.
