
She will address a public meeting at the outer-stadium in the port city on the day when she is expected to give "directional speech" about latest developments concerning Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) and Chitta-gong seaport.
A preparatory meeting was held at BNP's Naya-paltan central office Wednesday with standing committee member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain in the chair.
Senior leaders of the party, particularly of Chitta-gong division, including Salah-uddin Quader Chowdhury, M Morshed Khan, Abduallah Al Noman, Amir Khashru Mahmud Chowdhury, Mir Nasi-ruddin, Barkatullah Bulu, M Shahjan Salahuddin Ahmed and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, were present in the meeting.
After the meeting, Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain told the journalists that the BNP chairperson would give "directional speech" at the public meeting in Chittagong about CHT and Chittagong Port as "conspiracies" were on stream over the CHT and the seaport matters.
He said the next preparatory meeting over Khaleda Zia's public meeting would be held in Chittagong city Saturday next.
