A recent ICDDR,B survey reportedly claimed that the dearth of qualified doctors in rural Bangladesh has given 'quacks' the opportunity to dominate the healthcare sector in the villages, with nine out of ten patients seeking the help of the latter and ending up with 'wrong' drugs.
